| Summer of 2007 is now in our rearview mirror, and I’m looking forward to
the fall. Already the weather seems less humid, and the scorching heat
seems to be gone as well. With the cooler temps, now seems like a good
time to take a look back at some of the work produced over the summer
at Audio Works. Audio Works was busy with sessions for Beuerman, Miller, Fitzgerald for Perque Carpet The folks from Bright Moments were in working on audio for The Recovery School District Audio Works was also involved in producing both radio & TV tracks for long-time end client, Singer Kitchens, written by Fred Peer, (who also makes great iced coffee) My old north short pal, real estate agent, and chicken farmer Webb Williams was in working on another hilarious "on hold message" for National Beverage Company Keating Magee has kept everyone in the building busy with tags, spots, and dubs for Cox Communications, The Godwin Group out of Jackson, Mississippi was in recording and producing spots for Hancock Bank Bussion Creative produced several spots for the law firm of Gauthier, Houghtaling, & Williams. Peter Mayer worked on audio for The New Orleans Saint’s website Audio Works also hosted numerous ISDN sessions leading up to the 2nd Anniversary of Katrina for NPR And my excellent ex-boss Jim Rumsfled of Rum Productions produced some delicious tracks for Copelands and Sweet Fire & Ice Harry Shearer was in recording numerous tags for TV-Land, as well as some ADR work for The Simpsons, and The Simpsons and Williams and Company produced several spots for Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Porsche. Talk about nice rides! (TW:Think I could work out a deal for trade?) The political scene was busy and getting busier by the day. Before Labor Day, Audio Works had already completed a number of projects for a state wide race, and several local races as well. No doubt, this will be a busy fall political season with lots of offices to fill, candidates to record, and spots to produce. Book early! Book Often! I hope that everyone has a great and successful fall, and I look forward to seeing you soon. Cheers! Jeffrey Talbot |
